Is this likely? ...
It would be nice to have something that could run iOS but still have the power of their computers. Easily attach a bluetooth keyboard and even a mouse maybe? The only reason I would think this could be helpful is that Windows 8 has that advantage of having the best of both worlds. For example, right now I am thinking that this world is leaning toward getting rid of the "home computer" and replacing it with the "home tablet."
However, business people or anyone that uses software like AutoCAD are still stuck with having to use a laptop if we are sticking with Mac. iPads do not have the capabilities to run a full version of AutoCAD yet. I feel that it is getting close though. The bigger iPad would be hard to just carry around in your hand though. It would almost be like just a desktop computer or it would almost have to come with some kind of stand. The iMac now is so slim that it is starting to look like an iPad already.
Can we be looking forward to a bigger iPad in October 2014? I have a feeling it would be a little premature. I am not throwing the idea away though. It just seems that Apple has been a little behind on things and has some catching up to do. I hope they do it soon. This could be the game changer that they are looking for.
Maybe they should try to create a car stereo or something in the mean time. I would buy one. :)
