Just a few days ago it was widely spread across the media that a security flaw in many websites around the world are vulnerable to leaking your private security information. This would be the fourth attempt within the last few months that I personally have been affected by hackers.
First with the Target breach, then the CA DMV, next my employer, and now this. This is getting to the point where everyone will be just needing to make it a monthly bill, like health insurance or car insurance, to pay for identity theft protection. I am seriously thinking about it. Anyways, the Heartbleed leak. The important thing to know is, don't change your password until the website tells you that they have repaired the problem on their end. Second, once they tell you it had been fixed on their end, then change your password. Thirdly, really there is nothing you can do besides that. Don't stress out but accept that this is just going to be part of our lives now. Fourth, think about identity theft protection as a normal part of your life as a serious possibility. Any questions, just leave a comment and I will try to help you understand better what this means for you in simple terms. :) << Previous Post
